YIN Yoga with Sally Miller
Yin Yoga is a quiet, meditative practice of long-held passive postures.  It targets the health of the connective tissue, and works along the organ meridians of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  Yin Yoga is appropriate for all levels of Yoga practitioners, from advanced to beginner. Because we work with the connective tissue, and not the muscle, it is a wonderful compliment to Vinyasa and other forms of active asana practice.  An interest in meditation and becoming comfortable in stillness is helpful when practicing Yin Yoga, as we will explore spaces of silence throughout the class.

Sally Miller has been teaching various styles of yoga since 2005.  She studied Ayurvedic Medicine at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, NM with Dr. Vasant Lad from 2006-2007, and immerses herself in the teachings of Kashmirian Shaivism and Taoism.  Sally currently directs a private Ayurvedic consulting business and boutique style Yin Yoga studio called Yogini Bloom, in New Hope, PA. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Villanova University, and integrates a balanced approach of scientific reasoning and intuitive, feeling based self-awareness as it relates to holistic health. Sally's primary yoga teacher is Parvathi Nanda Nath Saraswati, with whom she has been continually studying with since 2004.  Sally learned Yin Yoga from Sarah Powers, and is blessed to share the practice from the standpoint of a tantric yoga sadhika, one who devotes much of her life to living in harmony with both the inner world of experience and the outer world of form and relationship.
