"Bonnie has an uncanny ability to understand the workings of another person's body. She is also extraordinarily creative about movement. She seems to see inside my body as she works with me, mirroring the problem within herself until she finds the perfect pose that will give
me relief. And while she's operating on the physical plane, she never forgets all the other aspects of existence that affect our bodies, incorporating them into our work. With Bonnie's help, I am putting together a toolkit to take care of myself that I will use for the rest
of my life."

"Yoga therapy with Bonnie is like hanging out with a brilliant detective. You may be certain it’s your knees that are messed up, but be sent home with hamstring exercises."
"I showed up with one set of questions, but the list keeps changing. So if you’re not sure exactly what it is you could use some help with, don’t worry about it. Like the best detective stories, it’s when you’re sure you “know” something that you discover that there’s more to learn."

Private sessions with Bonnie Pariser- Certified Yoga Therapist
As a certified yoga therapist, Bonnie employs a variety of techniques to assist you in finding freedom in body and mind. She uses principles of Structural Yoga Therapy to evaluate your physical strengths and weaknesses and to identify structural imbalances that might be causing you pain and physical discomfort.
Bonnie prescribes physical exercises and responsive body movements to reduce pain and return balance and well-being to your physical, emotional and spiritual core.
Other techniques include following and responding to a client’s ordinary proprioception to help the body unwind and find positional equilibrium, and TRE, which triggers a natural, but forgotten physical reflex to release long-held tension, stress and trauma. Read about the different techniques used below.
What you can expect during a session-
"During our first session for Structual Yoga Therapy we will go over your history, your curiosities, and talk about what you would like to accomplish. If you are looking to make a change in your physical body we will do an assessment, and then go over some poses and movements that will help you accomplish your aim. You will leave knowing what muscles you are working and why- and what you should be feeling during each exercise. You will receive a link to a google doc with your homework, and we will take videos of the poses on your smart phone so you can follow at home. I follow up with you in a few days to see how things are going.
If you are coming in for TRE we will go over as much history as you are comfortable sharing. There is never a need to tell details, or stories if you don't want to. However, if you do, I will be an active listener. I might ask you some questions so I can be sure I understood you completely. Then we work out which are the best preparation exercises for you. You will have about 15- 20 minutes to tremor with my guidance. After that we have some time talk about your experience and how you will continue your practice at home. I follow up with you a few days after to see how things are progressing.
If you are interested in Spiritual Mentoring we will talk about your struggles, your interests, and your accomplishments. Things progress as you are ready. You will get homework!
If you are coming in for AYT we spend a few minutes talking about what your body needs and then you get on the table. I listen as your body tells us how it needs to move to unwind the fascia. Then I help that movement along. Your job is to tell me where you are feeling sensation, if it is good/not good, and how it is changing. Then you go home happy and peaceful.
I look forward to helping you find your essence, whatever method you choose. Yoga therapy is about finding your truth, and that is a sacred journey that I am incredibly honored to take with you."

"I had been experiencing sharp pains in my right side around my rib cage for years. I had seen a physical therapist, I had had an MRI and I have had chiropractic care. No one had been able to identify the problem or had attended to me in a way that provided relief. Bonnie not only identified the issue but gave me a regimen of exercises that are easy to do and are amazingly effective."
A.F.R. (Assisted Fascial Release)
AFR relies on the intelligence of the body and its innate desire to heal itself and return to a state of wholeness. Injury and habitual patterns of holding tension in the body can cause muscular, neural and joint pain; headaches; poor posture; a lack of cohesiveness and stability, and a sense of separateness.
With knowledge of the fascial network and an instinctive trust in the process, Bonnie “listens” to and watches the clients body during guided motion as it reveals a pattern of action that will unwind the fascia and release constricted muscle tissue. As the fascia unwinds, movements in an arm might release tightness in the lower back, for example, or reveal and possibly release a tension pattern elsewhere in the body.
People have reported lessening of nerve pain, ringing in the ears, low back pain, headaches and migraines. This gentle technique also can mitigate shoulder injuries, concussions and groin injuries.
Along with improvements in physical conditions, clients often report a general sense of wholeness and calm. There is exciting research that suggests the nerve endings most abundant in the fascia are what active the area in the brain known to be responsible for our ability to be self-aware (Craig, A. D. (2008). Interoception and emotion: A neuroanatomical perspective.) This can in turn lead to a greater feeling of being at home in our body.
People who experience AFR enjoy freedom of movement in their body and mind.

T.R.E (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises)
"I love how it liberates my life force and helps me sleep. My muscles totally let go. I felt how my hand and feet chakras were open like the energy had been pouring out of them during the tremoring. They were pulsing too. I feel so soothed and comforted by this work. I have deep knowing that it's the care that I've been missing. My body is so wise and knows what to do."
TRE is a simple technique, developed by Dr. David Berceli, that uses exercises to release stress or tension from the body that accumulate from every day circumstances of life, from difficult situations, immediate or prolonged stressful situations, or traumatic life experiences (i.e., natural disasters, social or domestic violence).
TRE releases deep tension from the body by evoking a self-controlled muscular shaking process in the body called neurogenic muscle tremors. The uniqueness of this technique is that this shaking originates deep in the core of the body of the psoas muscles. These gentle tremors reverberate outwards along the spine releasing tension from the sacrum to the cranium.
The technique can becomes a quick and effective method for consistent relaxation. Eventually, these tremors will evoke themselves naturally in a rest position to reduce any stress or tension that was accumulated over the course of the day.
TRE is being used by thousands of people around the world as an effective tool for releasing chronic traumatic stress, physical tension and emotional trauma. It is also quickly becoming a popular way to release the everyday stress, tension, and anxiety that evolves comes from the daily pressures of life.
Who Can Benefit from TRE?
Since this shaking mechanism in the muscles is part of our natural behavior as humans, everyone can benefit from TRE. This shaking of the muscles, neurogenic tremors, increases the resiliency of the body because it causes deep relaxation that naturally reduces stress levels. It can release emotions ranging from mild upset to severe anxiety whether it is caused by work stress, excessive worry, conflict in relationships, physical stresses or traumas from accidents. Additionally, TRE has been reported to reduce pain, increases mobility, and aid healing of past injuries.
Whether you are a parent/spouse who would like more patience with your family, a victim of violence or accident, a soldier suffering with PTSD, or simply a person who wants to become more resilient and just feel better about life, you can benefit TRE.
$140 for one hour, $375 for 3 one hour sessions, $600 for 5 one hour sessions, paid in advance.
Discounted rates for veterans, first responders and sliding scale based on need are available.

"Yoga therapy can offer precious understanding of things we may know at the deepest level but just can’t decipher in everyday life. How can we skillfully engage with the intricacies of our always expanding and contracting bodies, minds, and hearts so they don’t rub up against each other and hurt?"
"Yoga therapy can offer precious understanding of things we may know at the deepest level but just can’t decipher in everyday life. How can we skillfully engage with the intricacies of our always expanding and contracting bodies, minds, and hearts so they don’t rub up against each other and hurt?"
For thousands of years Yoga has been used to strengthen and energize the body, keeping it healthy and youthful. Studies have shown Yoga practice to be beneficial for individuals suffering with conditions such as high blood pressure, Graves Disease, MS, Sciatica and low back pain, Scoliosis, Fibromyalgia and others. In many cases, Yoga practice has led to a reversal of symptoms associated with these conditions. Yoga empowers its practitioners to heal themselves and dramatically improves
the quality of their lives.
In advance of the Yoga practice itself, Bonnie measures joint range-of-motion and muscle strength, much as a physical therapist would, to determine your body's imbalances. She uses the information to customize a practice of Yoga poses that will enable you, through strengthening and stretching, to alleviate your body's imbalances.
Bonnie employs a variety of approaches during therapy sessions, including Yoga body work and energy work as well as guided imagery and other meditation techniques. As a result, Structural Yoga Therapy can be used to heal both old and new injuries.

"In times of perfect health and then in a prolonged period with a debilitating injury, I have experienced healing and transformation from yoga therapy with AmarJyothi. As a nurse, I sought out conventional therapies for my injury as well, but it was through yoga therapy that I found relief and, maybe just as important, meaning in my injury. The techniques AmarJyothi teaches encompass the whole body, the mind and the spirit and work to heal on all of those levels."

The best freedom is to know your truth. Getting closer to your spirit, your god, your divine nature, however you understand it, can be the most effective healing of all.
Once you decide you want to evolve your connection to spirit, assistance is valuable. Whether it be to help process insights, dispel doubt, encourage continuation, or validate experiences.
Sadhana, or spiritual practice, is a known methodology for transformation . If there is a behavior or a thought pattern you want to change it will require consistent effort. The two wings of spiritual evolution, grace and effort, will help us to soar to greater heights. While we can't "force" grace, we can practice. Along the way as your sadhana evolves, you will recognize many benefits from a consistent practice that may not have been on your wish list, yet are usually quite wonderful and welcome.
During Spiritual Mentoring you are given practices that suit your lifestyle, your belief systems, and your desire for transformation. These practices will help you find or reconnect with your spirit, your soul, your divine nature. It is hard to stay on the path alone. A Spiritual Mentor is the person who takes your hand and walks that path with you until you are ready to go at it alone.

BioMat
A Biomat is an FDA-approved, medical-grade, infrared full-body heating mat that produces deep penetrating light energy for a maximum healing experience. The Biomat can help your body return to its normal functioning state, and is a wonderful tool to use for relaxation, or as a preventative method for achieving optimal health. It operates on the same principle as the far infrared sauna, yet each is a very unique experience. The Biomat can be used as a safe complement to other healing therapies or on its own.
Benefits: Improved circulation and cardiovascular function; Pain Relief; Increased metabolism and weight control; Easing of joint pain and stiffness; Reduced stress and fatigue; Improved skin health and an overall feeling of balance.
How it works: The BioMat’s unique medical and therapeutic properties are based on Nobel prize-winning research into ionic channels and the same infrared technology that NASA identified as the safest and most beneficial type of light wave. By producing deep-penetrating, far infrared rays along with negative ions that activate the body at the molecular level, the BioMat is capable of administering deep stimulation and healing. The Biomat combines state-of-the-art Far Infrared light and Negative Ion technology with the healing power of amethyst crystal. As you lay on the Biomat, the far-infrared rays penetrate your body. Infrared energy prompts the release of nitric oxide (NO); a gaseous signaling molecule which is crucial to the health of your arteries. Nitric oxide causes blood vessels to vasodilate, or become more flexible and widen. This enhances blood flow. This is the mechanism which causes increased blood flow in the Biomat.
