A Path to Daily Balance and Healing
If you’ve ever wondered how to bring the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda into your daily life, this retreat is your invitation to begin. Rooted in the teachings of Mukunda Stiles and Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy, this immersive experience will gently guide you in weaving Ayurvedic principles into your everyday routines—step by step, and at your own pace.
Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old system of natural healing that offers profound insights into how we can nurture our bodies, prevent illness, and live in greater harmony with ourselves and the world around us. During this retreat, we’ll explore how to make these time-honored practices feel accessible, practical, and deeply personal.
You'll learn how to recognize and work with the doshas—the energetic forces that influence your body, mind, and emotions. Understanding the interplay of the doshas in your day-to-day life can empower you to make choices that support balance, clarity, and vitality.
We’ll also learn and practice Puja to the five elements—a beautiful ritual that reconnects you to the environment, bringing reverence and presence to the Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space that make up all living beings. This practice deepens your relationship with the natural world and anchors you in a greater sense of wholeness.
Throughout the retreat, we’ll create a rhythm that allows you to drop into stillness and connection:
I invite you to step into this healing space. You won’t regret it.

- We will cook nourishing, simple meals together—meals that support digestion and stillness of mind.
- We will move through gentle asana practices that clear the mind, harmonize the doshas, and support your body’s natural rhythms.
- We will walk in nature, allowing the prana of the land to restore and elevate your energy.
I invite you to step into this healing space. You won’t regret it.
This retreat will be based on the book by Mukunda Stiles, Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy. Here is a review of the body of work:
Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy developed by Mukunda Stiles describes the underlying elements of both Yoga and Ayurveda, the latter being the healing side of the former. The author provides the reader, the deep wisdom of Yoga as an experience through the science of life, Ayurveda. By marrying the sister sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda, Mukunda steers a way from an increasing tendency to ‘medicalize’ yoga therapy. Instead of offering prescriptive recommendations for specific medical diagnoses, he presents sequences of Vinyasa and pranayama suited to the various Ayurvedic body types. Yoga practitioners using this book can access a deeper level of preventative self-care, attuning to the rhythm and balance of each individual. Enlivened by stories and wisdom teachings, this book provides food for body, soul and spirit, guiding practitioners towards fulfillment of their highest potential. To properly comprehend the vast knowledge and perspective of Yoga and especially Ayurveda, you must gaze through the eyes and understanding of a master teacher. Through Mukunda’s book, you have the opportunity to experience the science of life and the wisdom of yoga through the wise eyes and soul of a master. It helps you understand Ayurveda and Yoga sufficiently, leading you to specific Classical Yoga practices that have the potential to bring about a lasting change in your lifestyle, health and overall outlook on the purpose of life.

Read some reviews from our past retreats:
Totally amazing and interesting and I'm glad I did it!
It was a safe environment to be quiet with a flock of others practicing meditation and functional silence. (Pass me the salt) I enjoyed eating in silence and the simple meals.
Resting was important as I detoxed the mind. I made sure to lie down during the Rest times.
It was wild experiencing how we knew how to communicate with our eyes, hand movements, and bodies. If all else failed, limited functional words came into play.
If you are drawn to this opportunity but are simply a bit daunted by some of the possible challenges, I’d say strongly consider going for it! I was in this category (daunted) and while I can’t say that every single moment was easy peasy, many, many moments were quite special.
If you think you want to do something like this, know that you can do it. And the souvenirs are great. I have returned home feeling fortified, with clearer vision and better decision-making skills.
